Clowning around

England batsman Graham Thorpe paints the face of West Indies captain Brian Lara at a special treat for children of St Dominic’s and Vega de la Oropouche schools yesterday. The event, hosted by Lara at his mansion, Chancellor Hill, was in commemoration of his parents Pearl and Bunty. Apart from fun attractions with clowns and bouncy castles, the children also mingled with players from both the West Indies and England teams. Thorpe’s captain, Michael Vaughan, behind Lara, and opening batsman Marcus Trescothick, right, also joined in the fun.
