Comedians Errol Fabien and George Gonzalez are back together
again. Together, they star in a new talk show called Salt
& Fresh that will be shown on Gayelle The Channel every
Thursday from 9.30 pm.
Fabien and Gonzalez became household names after they were
teamed to host Mixed Nuts on CT Vibe 105FM.
After several months apart doing their solo projects, the
two were brought together for this show by Lisa Guichard
of GAT Production.
Guichard, executive producer of Salt & Fresh, said this
programme was in the making for about a year.
She said the show promises to be like no other, and the
unexpected should be expected.
Guichard was speaking at Thursday nights launch of
the programme at Club 51 degrees, Cipriani Boulevard, Port-of-Spain.
Guichard introduced invited guests to the team behind Salt
& Fresh, which include Joel Signal to Noise
Morris as the co-producer.
The first run featured two prominent doctors, Dr Jacqueline
Sharpe, president of the Family Planning Association, and
retired orthopaedic surgeon Dr Peter Gentle.
The topic was the use of condoms and how safe are they as
a method of preventing HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted
diseases.
Fabien and Gonzalez approach to discussing the topic
was most certainly like no other.
They added a twist of humour to the discussion with Gentle
and Sharpe, who held differing views to how one can contract
the human papillomavirus (HPV).
Some of the guests said the programme was refreshing because
the way the issues were presented. They said the style was
very entertaining.
Guichard said everyone should expect more bacchanal in the
upcoming segments.
Salt & Fresh will address topics such as politics, culture
and current affairs.
Among the sponsors of this programme include the Trinidad
Guardian, Carib, and Standard Distributors Ltd.
