Poison held its band launch on Sunday at Pier 1 to a packed crowd. Models displayed costumes from the band’s 2004 presentation Retromania during the fete. G&L Pure Energy and Roy Cape All Stars provided the music. Destra Garcia and Machel Montano gave surprise performances.

Local personality Lisa Wickham and Trini Crews Lime held a wicked fete aboard the Treasure Queen on Saturday. Notables such as PSA president Jennifer Baptiste, businessman Lennox Toussaint, Media Association president Dale Enoch and Claudia Pegus were among the partygoers who partied while the boat cruised along the west coast.

The Shandy Carib International Surfing Championship took place at San Souci during the first weekend in November. Bajan Mark Holder retained the title winning over local Che Lovelace. A large crowd turned out to support the surfers and also cheer on participation in the Trail Bike race over 19 kilometres of hazardous and trying terrain.

Jungle Fever, a section of Poison's 2004 presentation Retromania, was launched on Saturday November 1 at Hilton,Trinidad. The costumes were designed by Peter Elias and were modelled by a bevy of beauties among them Magdalene Walcott, Miss TT/World and Maria Stewart Miss T&T Queen of the World. The event also featured a fashion show with styles by designers such as Claudia Pegus and Elias.

Bunji Garlin, the girls dem darling, launched his CD, Graceful Vengence on Saturday November 29 at the MoBS2 amphitheatre, Chaguaramas. Treating the fans that night were Bunji and his band Censation, Machel Montano, Destra, Benjai and Jamaican dancehall star Red Rat. Roy Cape All Stars and Invazion featuring 2003 Road March champ Faye Ann Lyons and Iwer George also performed. Photos by David Wears

Lisa Wickham and Trini Crews Lime held their second Baileys on the Bay lime aboard the Treasure Queen. The party officially sailed at 9 pm and went non-stop during a three hour cruise down Trinidad’s western peninsula. Complimentary Baileys was served to the patrons. Photos by David Wears
