Jamaat al Muslimeen leader Imam Yasin Abu Bakr is escorted out of the Hall of Justice, Port-of-Spain, where his conspiracy to commit murder trial was due to begin yesterday. It did not, as the roll call for hundreds of jurors(Below) who assembled from morning on the court steps and across the street in Woodford Square, took up much of the day. Bakr’s attorneys are expected to call for the charges against him to be dropped, as legal submissions are due to take place today. Bakr is accused of conspiring to murder expelled Muslimeen members Salim Rasheed and Zaki Aubaidah on June 4, 2003, at Citrine Drive, Diamond Vale, Diego Martin.
