Thank you, Mr Cape

Saxophonist Roy Cape proudly displays his Humming Bird gold medal on his left breast as he spreads his arms in gratitude after collecting a special award for his life contribution to local music from Caribbean Prestige Promotion at the Soca Monarch prize-giving function at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s, on Monday night. Cape, whose band has played in the Soca Monarch competition for the past nine years, received a standing ovation from a large gathering of his peers after receiving the award.
