Republic Bank Ltd yesterday became the first share on the T&T Stock Exchange to reach the $1 mark after it added $0.49.

Yesterday’s total amounted to 1.39 million shares, with a corresponding market value of $20.15 million. Leading all securities was Dehring, Bunting & Golding Ltd with 398,164 shares traded.

Coming in second was Grace, Kennedy & Company Ltd on a volume of 259,650 shares, followed by Plipdeco Ltd with 156,761 shares.

Caribbean Communications Network Ltd enjoyed a $0.30 increase to close on an even $12.00. Ansa Mc Al Ltd, Ansa Merchant Bank Ltd and Neal & Massy Holdings Ltd all registered $0.10 gains, ending on $43.10, $17.00 and $50.10 respectively.

Of the four securities that declined, Jamaica Money Market Brokers led the group with a $0.05 decrease to $1.75.

The other three securities, Capital & Credit Merchant Bank Ltd, First Caribbean International Bank Ltd and Grace, Kennedy & Company Ltd all recorded $0.01 declines to close on $3.30, $13.59 and $12.69 respectively.

The Composite Index added 0.53 points to close at 1,096.44, while the All T&T Index gained 2.87 points to close on 1,318.80.

Praetorian Property Mutual Fund recorded an inactive session with no price changes.

On a dormant Second Tier Market, Mora Ven Holdings Ltd held its position at $2.50.
