A contingent of 16 local artistes will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Fourth Summit of Heads of State and/or Government of the Association of Caribbean States which is being held in Panama City, Panama, from today to July 29.

T&T has been specially selected to showcase our culture with emphasis on music, at the event which features a cultural Caribbean gala.

The Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs, in its quest to expose the culture of our country, identified and selected several outstanding artistes to participate in this cultural exchange extravaganza.

The T&T contingent will share the stage at the cultural gala with various other celebrated artistes from the ACS.

The scintillating sound of soca, steelpan music, calypso, parang and chutney will capture the hearts and imagination of the Panamanian people when our local artistes perform at the gala which will be attended by Prime Minister Patrick Manning and former president ANR Robinson, along with other participating Heads of Government.
