Earl Caruth and the Kaiso Waves Band have been contracted to provide musical accompaniment for Klassic Ruso Tent during the Carnival 2006 season.

This was announced in a statement from Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation’s north zone arm which owns and manages the tent.

The band has been with the tent since 2000, and over the years has developed a solid working relationship with both the management of Klassic Ruso and its senior cast members.

Band leader Caruth is a saxophonist, musical arranger, composer and music educator who holds an master’s in the teaching of music. He received his musical education in the Defence Force between 1962 and 1968.

He attended the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, New York Jazz Mobile Workshop and Herbert H Lehman College of the University of New York.

As an educator he has taught music at Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, New York.

He returned to Trinidad in 1983 and joined the teaching service.

Klassic Ruso Tent is headed by Allrounder who has held the calypso king of the world title on a number of occasions.

He is ably supported by Contender, Manchild, (Young King title 2002), Versatile and calypso queens Lady Wonder, Shirlane Hendrickson and Marva Mc Kenzie.
