It’s called the Tote. And as it’s name says, it’s the perfect bag for toting all kinds of stuff and thus it’s the perfect bag for women. Small clutches may be cool for red carpet shindigs or a night at Zen, but for everyday life, the oversized tote will definitely cut it.

This week, we found some very chic-coloured, durable totes at local fashion hot-spot, Radical Designs. These totes are made from a softened version of the building material PVC (polymer

of vinyl chloride) and sell at $199.

My black Radical tote is just big enough to carry my gym clothes, lunch, reading material, make-up bag, stationary and the occasional umbrella or bottled water.

The down side is that this bag is not compartmentalised, but it is still way better than trying to fit the tampon and the hair brush into the too-small pocket of your favourite jacket. It’s up to you, whether you want to tote, your copy of The Da Vinci Code or your candy stash, but the bag will hold your entire life and more anyway.
