It
was never a dream, but I always enjoyed watching my cousin
trim clients, said Ecliffe Reynold St Rose of Ideal
MetroSexual Image, located in Divine Image Centre, Deigo
Martin.
It
has been sixteen years and I am still loving it.
St Rose started his venture while in school, after his cousin
encouraged him. He practiced on family, friends and neighbours.
He said, They were my guinea-pigs. With all the cuts
and zugs, they still kept coming.
Through trial and error St Rose has developed the art of
cutting and his client base has grown substantially over
the past years. He is a cut above the rest, for his passion
has taken him to many places and each time all his clients
have followed him.
I
see it as a way to be creative. With my clients head
as my canvas, I go into my artistic mode, creating satisfying
images.
The
job
Male hair technician; It is all about making you fantastic.
Management challenges
Dealing with personalities.
Favourite part of the job
The result: everybody who gets up from my chair satisfied.
What makes a lasting impression?
The first hair cut. In this line of business, if a first-time
client comes and I make a mistake its heard of all
over. So my lasting impression is making leaving a last
impression.
Waste of time
Uncertainty, procrastination.
Successful manager
I am not present, but you are still satisfied.
How do people show pride?
The attention given to what they are doing.
Team building practices
Constructive criticisms and working together.
Conflict-resolution tip
Reasoning and mutual understanding. How do you encourage
employee development? Encourage staff to always be eager
to learn, for knowledge is power.
Employee retention tip
After finding out why they want to leave; for people leave
for various reasons, I would see
how
best I can assist
depending on my capacity.
Career building advice
Love what you do. Do not think of it as a job. Be persistent.
What do you look for in a job candidate?
Image is everything.
Favourite book
Count of Monte Cristo.
Personal philosophy
Image is the key to success, it is not all about education.
Advice
Image is what carries you places.
