Two people who had been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of Princes Town student Bradley Persad were released from police custody.

The couple, who spent Friday in custody, was released on Saturday, hours after Bradley reportedly escaped from his abductors. Up to midday yesterday, officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad were continuing their search for two men in north Trinidad.

Investigators believe Bradley had been held hostage at a house in Tunapuna, handcuffed to a bed. Investigators said the child was found with a bloodied nose and a bruise on his head.

Bradley told police he ran away from his abductors while being led through the streets of Tunapuna at 11 pm on Friday.
