Evelyn Caesar Munroe who stars as Sistagod in the award-winning Trinidad & Tobago movie of the same name is at The Pan African Film Festival(PAFF) in Los Angeles this week for premiere screenings at the Majic Johnson Theatres.

PAFF draws audiences of 200,000 and is the major International African-American film festival.

Caesar Munroe, a 15 year veteran of the stage, attended the Sistagod world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival as well as the film’s Caribbean premieres, where she served as a “worthy ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago’s people,” according to director Yao Ramesar.

Ramesar added that, “It’s been great for international audiences to see Evelyn in the flesh as well as on screen, as she represents a new face of god—one that is a black West Indian woman.

Plaudits must go out to the Minister of Culture, who again made it possible for Evelyn to represent the film and the country, as she did at the Toronto International Film Festival.”
