Bridge rural, urban gap for victory

This week, we are going to look at the seats the UNC could claim as “safe.”

While the PNM has failed to make any significant inroads into rural Trinidad, the UNC likewise has singularly failed to win any quantity of seats in the cities, towns and boroughs and especially the East West corridor.

The party with policies and personalities that can bridge that divide between rural and urban with will rule Trinidad and Tobago for a long time to come.

Lower down the table you can see the seats the UNC would theoretically have won if COP wasn’t in the race. Noticeably, they were commuter seats, seats one would consider urban.

Next week, we will conclude this election analysis with a look at the seats the COP nearly won. You may be surprised whose seats they were.

Just a thought.

(PS: Remember you can go to my Web site at www.quentrall.com, click on Elections and download these tables, which are in an un-locked Excel spreadsheet.
