Up to late yesterday evening a construction worker remained warded in Port-of-Spain General Hospital, after slipping and falling down a flight of stairs in the RBTT building under construction on St Clair Avenue, Port-of-Spain.

This accident comes three months after Neil Ellis, another construction worker, fell off a scaffolding on this construction site.

That accident took place on September 17. He was briefly hospitalised, but suffered no major injuries.

Conrad Sabga, chief executive officer of Beaver Construction Ltd, told the Guardian that the worker was in stable condition.

“He slipped and fell down a flight of stairs in the building. He’s injured, but is resting comfortably in hospital,” Sabga said.
