In the last edition of Pulse I was singing praises to Unipet
CEO Ron Milford for the bumper party he hosted at 51º Lounge
on December 7. But, last weekend I attended what has got
to be one of the most outta sight Christmas staff parties
Ive ever been to.
Its success no doubt the yeoman commitment of its organising
committee, TSTT celebrated its staff dinner, show and party
at the Chaguaramas Golf Course on Saturday. Scheduled to
begin at 6 pm, staffers, their spouses, escorts and guests
were shuttled in from Pier 2 and as they extended the party
some two hours beyond its scheduled 11 am climax, they were
royally treated.
With four meal stations offering every Christmas morsel
thinkable, and a similar number of liquor stalls, manned
by the competent staff of BARS. International, guests were
entertained by Wendell Constantine, Los Alumnos de Rio Claro,
Patrice Roberts, Farmer Nappy and DJ Richard Simply Smooth.
Upon departure each of the more than one thousand guests
was given a gift from the phone company, a bottle of wine.
On the subject of Christmas parties, though much smaller,
last Thursdays Trinidad Publishing Christmas staff
party and awards ceremony was just as enjoyable. Held at
the companys carpark in mid-town Port-of-Spain, guests
were entertained by Shurwayne Winchester and Caribbean Traffik
Jam, and Johnny King.
Trinidad Publishing Christmas staffers, led, from left,
by
Helen Hernandez, Junior Valentine and Paul Charles enjoy
the music of Caribbean Traffik Jam.
