Judge rules Act valid

Bakr faces terrorism trial

A judge has declared that the Anti-Terrorism Act (2005) is valid. Justice Mark Mohammed, presiding in the Port-of-Spain Third Criminal Court yesterday, dismissed a constitutional motion brought by Jamaat-al-Muslimeen leader Yasin Abu Bakr, who alleged that the act was unconstitutional.
