The cover of Scrunter’s CD.

Parang Soca Master Owen Reyes-Johnson (calypsonian Scrunter) continues to be in great demand at home and abroad.

Scrunter recently enjoyed great performances in Grenada and Miami and will be jetting out for performances in New York and Washington this weekend.

And, before Christmas sets in he is scheduled to be in Toronto, Canada, where he is to be honoured.

Despite his busy Christmas schedule the hunter from Vega de Oropuche is preparing for his annual Pork Dance at D’ Forest on December 20.

To please the great lovers of Christmas, Scrunter has enlisted Baron and Marilyn Williams to assist him with sharing the vocal Yuletide cheer.

Among the disc jockeys in the house will be Blacks and CG.

As usual patrons will be afforded the privilege of catching a greased pig and another pig will be given away as door prizes.

The traditional wild-meat dishes in iguana, deer, tattoo, lappe, wild-hog and manicou will be on sale.

Admission to Scrunter’s Pork Dance is $100 at the door and $80 in advance. (TREVOR BURNETT).
